Rottend Staal Online

The Rottend Staal Nieuwsbrief poetry magazine was published by the Poets from Epibreren in the period of 1995-2000. It contained mostly poetry by Dutch and Flemish poets, but sometimes poems by English, American and German poets were published in the original language. The magazine also featured poetry-related news, announcements and opinions. The circulation grew from 110 copies per issue in 1995 to 450 in 2000.

For reasons of cost efficiency the online version of this magazine, Rottend Staal Online, was started in August 2000. It's the first online poetry magazine in The Netherlands that is updated almost daily. Besides poetry, biographies of the poets (from the Netherlands, Belgium, Frisia, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, the U.K., the U.S.A. and Australia), you can also browse through editorials, poetry related news and information about upcoming performances. But beware: the Dutch system on dates works different than the American system: 1-2-2000 means February 1st, 2000.
